I am looking forward to our Summer Leadership Conference that will be happening in Albuquerque at the Embassy Suites from July 11-15. The Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament will be on Tuesday morning at 7:30 AM at Santa Ana Golf Course. We are planning a great event and look forward to getting together with many of our sponsors and enjoying a morning at the golf course. Tuesday, July 12 has many affiliate meetings and the Corn Hole Tournament for Superintendents and their guest. Lots of prizes and networking fun together. It begins at 6:30 pm at the hotel. Look for signs to the tournament room.
July 13 and 14 are the core of the conference with Secretary Kurt Steinahus and Dr. Carol M. Johnson as our Keynote speakers that morning. After two rounds of exciting breakouts, we will have our annual awards luncheon where we award our affiliate administrator of the year awards and award our student scholarships. I look forward to seeing you as part of this recognition opportunity! July 14 will have a Keynote from National Geographic with nationally recognized Alize’ Carrere as our speaker. Followed by several more breakouts, we will end the core conference around noon on Thursday. Following that conclusion there are several post conference opportunities from affiliates to round out our conference.
I am looking forward to seeing each of you there. As I have spoken with the Hotel, I am informed that we are running up on our allotted room allocations, so I have extended the number of rooms available under our reduced rates and room block. If you and your staff have not booked yet, please do so as soon as possible.
