CARRIZOZO MUNICIPAL SCHOOL’S JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE OF JOB: Superintendent/Principal
New Mexico Administrative License-Experience in Teaching and School Administration-Living in the township of Carrizozo is preferred. Preferred experience with personnel management, NM Teach evaluative system, curriculum, RtI and differentiated instruction, knowledge of state academic standards, familiarity with NM educational statutes, rules, regulations and funding, strong financial management skills, CPO certification (willing to become CPO certified) strong leadership and communication skills.
REPORTS TO: School Board
JOB GOAL: To provide leadership in developing and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services for the staff, students and the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board of Education’s policies.
Minimum Qualifications: Valid New Mexico Administrator’s License
Administrative experience as a Superintendent or in another administrative position, possess integrity and high moral characteristics, be goal-oriented, self-motivated, grant writing skills and committed to working in a rural school district.
