Accounting/Finance Manager - Belen Consolidated Schools

Accounting/Finance Manager


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to acquire Level I School Business Officials License.
  • Minimum three years experience in governmental accounting.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge in word processing, database, application software with demonstrable expertise in spreadsheet and spreadsheet graphics.
  • Knowledge of New Mexico School Budgeting / Financing.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Able to use strategic planning to effect district progress and improvement in student achievement and district operations.
  • Able to use technology in accounting and management responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of New Mexico State Wide Chart of Accounts, and Public Education Department (PED) Supplements.

Responsible and accountable for managing the general ledger and accounting records for the District, prepares and maintains accurate and complete records, and reports as required by law, state directives, District policy and administrative regulations. Knowledge of government profit/nonprofit accounting. Knowledge of general accounting, and financial statement preparation. Assist Director in annual reporting of changes in Fixed Assts.
